How to… roleplay

Role-playing is one of the most common sexual fantasies. And that’s no surprise, because it allows you to transform yourself into a completely different person and forget about the real world for a while. We all want to escape reality sometimes, right? But how do you start role-playing? In this article, we’ll tell you the best way to go about it!

#1. Practice alone

If you’re trying it out for the first time, you’re likely to feel a bit uncomfortable. So get to know your character before you introduce them to your partner! Think about what your role sounds like beforehand for yourself…. Do you have an accent? What words do you use? Take the time to shape your character and practise this when you’re alone. Perhaps right before you go to sleep, when you’re in bed. You’ll probably find it exciting to delve into your alter ego like this…. think of it as a kind of foreplay!

#2. Discuss role-playing

Alright, while it may not be super spontaneous, it’s a good idea to discuss role-playing with each other before you start out for the first time. Talk about it a few days before. Will you really act like you don’t know each other? Are you going to make-believe it’s a secret affair? It’s good to agree on things like this so you can really take your play to the next level.

If you’re anxious about being uncomfortable, you can also do role-play without costumes first, or start out with costumes but just act like yourself. That way, you can get into it a bit more gently. And remember that it’s okay if one of you goes out of character or has to laugh.

Of course, it’s okay if you slip out of character or start laughing.

#3. Start out slowly

Role-playing lends itself perfectly to very long foreplay. Start as early as the morning or the evening before. Talk to your partner occasionally in the accent of your alter ego and see how it goes. Get to know each other. It’s also great fun to go out together and slip into the alter role while talking about normal things. People around you will have no idea you’re engaged in role-playing, which makes it extra sexy.
